Wandering Olympic is a black-and-white photographic series made over multiple trips to Olympic National Park. While the park offers varied terrain, the coastline has proven most compelling—an environment where scale, weather, and time are inseparable. The work is shaped by walking under persistent overcast skies, where the true character of the landscape is most clearly felt. Diffuse light softens contrast and allows form, texture, and distance to emerge gradually. Tides continually transform the shoreline, revealing and concealing the land so that the same place is never encountered the same way twice. The photographs are quiet observations made in motion, reflecting the changing, unsettled nature of the Olympic coast experienced slowly and alone.
